Ste Walton, Moorland Landscape & Nature Photographer, RochdaleUK

“Some places ask nothing of us,
and in that silence, give us everything”

A person stands on rocks in a snowy, foggy landscape, carrying a large black backpack, facing away from the camera.

About Me

Ste Walton is a Rochdale-based landscape and nature photographer, drawn to the quiet power of the southern Pennines.
Working primarily in the North of England, his photography explores vast skies, shifting weather, and the raw, restorative beauty of these wild places. His work, which he shaped through a deeply personal journey through addiction and recovery, grounds itself in stillness, honesty, and connection.
The landscape becomes not just a subject, but a space for reflection and healing. Explore the stories woven through his photographs and the path that led him back to the moors.
