The Flow of the Moor: Water & Waterfalls

Hardcastle Crags. A moorland stream gurgled as it splashed over frozen, moss-covered rocks.
The air around Lumbhole Falls in Hebden Bridge was crisp and cool. Framed by the green of ferns, trees and stone walls, a beautiful waterfall tumbles into a woodland pool.
The Cheesden Pasture is a peaceful, expansive moorland meadow. The gentle flow, a quiet murmur, trickled over the rocks, eventually landing in a pebbled, moss-covered bed, as a rainbow illuminated its base.

The Naden Higher & Middle Reservoirs shrouded in fog, mirroring the overcast sky above.
Walshaw Dean Reservoir reflected the snow-covered moor and sky, its surface as smooth as glass.

A woodland waterfall cascaded through the Naden Valley. The brook broadened, and the fall plunged into a pool of shimmering emerald green.

On Scout Moor, a small waterfall cascaded, illuminated by the warm light of the sun, which filtered through the trees on the left.

The Rochdale Canal in Castleton, underneath Manchester Road, overflowed with a waterfall after a downpour. The water shimmered, mirroring the vibrant colours of the streetlight above.
A waterfall on Scout Moor. Fine mist sprayed from the bold cascade, which fell over a rugged scarp, and settled on the surrounding heath and fallen trees.
The waterfall on Scout Moor plunged onto the rocks below. The water split and rejoined, creating delicate veils over the fractured, moss-covered rock, with a silver shimmer.
The crisp air carried the mist from the waterfall on Scout Moor. A robin is perched on a fallen tree that spans a narrow chute of water, watching the water surge through a cleft in the rock.
Rooley Moor. A secluded fall trickles with the sound of bubbling water through the dark, peat-rich ground, the scent of damp earth rising, surrounded by heather and scratchy scrub.
